I have a PG in History, English and Political Science. The History PG was done on a regular basis and English and Political Science through correspondence. I am a teacher in a private school, handling History and Civics.
I also stand in for the English teacher during his absence. I want to change my career. I am 31 years old and would like to get to a better level. Kindly guide and help me to plan.

With three PG degrees, you would have garnered plenty of information and knowledge. One positive aspect of your career is that you are putting to use the inputs that you have received in the areas of English and Political Science on a daily basis.
Being part of a school and teaching school children you should have pursued a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) which would have helped you in a big way in the methodology of teaching. If you intend to pursue a government job, B.Ed. is mandatory. You should attempt to go through the Public Service Commission as and when the positions are advertised.
You can attempt the NET (if the subject is of your liking and distinction) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and become a teacher in any government or private college (aided or unaided).
For furthering your career, you can even pursue Ph.D.
I am working in a private sector bank as an Assistant Manager and taking care of Relationship Management. I have already completed MBM (Master of Bank Management) (Correspondence), Bachelor of Law (Regular), JAIIB, and the Licentiate from the Insurance Institute of India. Kindly advice what degree, course, certification I should pursue to ensure career progression in a speedy manner.
I am very much comfortable with Insurance, Banking and Financial Planning.

Considering that you have completed the JAIIB (Junior Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers) your natural progression should be to CAIIB (Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers), which will help in leveraging not only your skills but also in ensuring promotions.
A MBA in Banking and Financial Management through off-campus or distance learning mode will surely help with the managerial degree that is required for qualifying for promotions.
Your focus on areas of banking and related subjects will surely keep you in good stead in the long run. With the growth in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance segments you should ensure that a career path is fixed based on your achievements.
I want to know more about the B.E. Industrial Engineering and Management course from the perspective of scope and opportunities.
I am in 10th Standard and will be completing +2 in 2013.

I am studying in II year of PUC Science. I want to pursue a course in mass media and related fields. What are the required talents? Which are the good institutions offering a degree in mass media?
What is the scope for this field? I am also confused. Will a person with science background fit the bill for the mass media programme?
Isha Tiwari
Mass media reaches out to and influences large numbers of people through newspapers, popular magazines, radio and television.
Being part of mass media, one provides information and inputs that help in the creation of an opinion and usher in change. As far as the talents are concerned, one should be creative and have an inclination to put in long hours of work, besides empathise with the happenings in society. In fact, society always looks up to the Mass Media professional.
