Nearly 40,000 people from all walks of life participated in the ‘Third Jammu Marathon’ which had the theme ‘Run for Jammu, Run for Pride’.

It was organised by the Jammu Board of Development for Sports to honour the heroes of Jammu.

The marathon was flagged off early in the morning from Satwari Chowk on Jammu city’s outskirts and culminated on the lawns of the Hari Niwas Palace.

“Many youth have gathered here. The organisers have tried to boost the morale of the youth and, it is also an attempt to bring the people of Jammu together. There are no differences of caste, creed and religion, and the people are here together despite all this. The marathon is a symbol of unity” said Sahil, a participant.
